Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your visit.
General
How often should I get a skin cancer screening?
Most adults benefit from an annual full-body skin exam. If you have a personal or family history of skin cancer, your dermatologist may recommend more frequent screenings.
At what age can children be seen?
We care for patients of all ages, including infants and children. Our board-certified dermatologists treat common childhood skin conditions such as eczema, warts, and rashes.
Appointments
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can book online through our scheduling link at the top of the page, or call our office during business hours. New patients are always welcome.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
Most patients do not need a referral to see a dermatologist, but some insurance plans require one. We recommend checking with your insurance provider before your visit.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any relevant medical records or prior biopsy results.
Insurance & Billing
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most major medical insurance plans. Because coverage changes frequently, please contact our office to confirm that we are in-network with your specific plan.
Are cosmetic treatments covered by insurance?
Cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance. Our team will review pricing and payment options with you before any cosmetic treatment.
Residency
Is the residency program ACGME-accredited?
Please see our Residency section for the most current information about our program structure, faculty, and application process.
